Join me the first message in a five-part series, Transition: Moses to Joshua. In our lives, especially as we age, change is inevitable. And as changes develop, we sometimes feel that some of the original goals and opportunities we held at the beginning have not come about. In this series we will be looking at transitions from one leader to another throughout sacred scripture. However, the goal of the series is to assist us in understanding that although there will be change as things move forward in time, God is faithful and has promised that He will be with us through the changes and since they are according to His sovereign plan, the original goal will still be accomplished. In the case of Moses to Joshua, the goal remained the same, the Promised Land would be conquered, and the people would be settled. This fulfilled the promise God made to Abraham many generations prior. God's desire for His people and His desire to give them the Promised land had never shifted. A new leader would bring them home in accordance with God's eternal, providential plan.
